House System
At St. Patrick's Academy, Manendragarh, the House System is an integral part of school life, fostering leadership, teamwork, discipline, and a healthy spirit of competition among students.
The school is divided into four vibrant houses—Gandhi House, Nehru House, Prasad House, and Tagore House. Each house is guided by a dedicated team of student leaders consisting of a House Captain, Assistant Captain, and two Prefects, who work under the guidance of the masters and mistress to inspire and motivate their fellow house members.
Our Four Houses
Gandhi House Yellow
Gandhi House represents the values of peace, truth, discipline and service. Students are encouraged to demonstrate leadership, cooperation and a commitment to excellence.
Nehru House Green
Nehru House encourages curiosity, teamwork, knowledge and leadership. Students participate enthusiastically in academic, cultural and sporting activities.
Prasad House Blue
Prasad House promotes discipline, cooperation, determination and sportsmanship. Students are motivated to work together and strive for excellence in every field.
Tagore House Red
Tagore House celebrates creativity, culture, courage and leadership. Students are encouraged to express their talents while working together as a strong team.
House Activities & Competitions
Throughout the academic year, the houses actively participate in a wide range of academic, cultural, literary, and sports activities, encouraging students to showcase their talents, develop confidence, and strive for excellence.
The House System also provides students with opportunities to cultivate leadership qualities, responsibility, cooperation, and respect for others.
Responsibilities of House Leaders
In addition to organizing and participating in competitions, the house leaders perform important responsibilities such as:
- Supervising student breaks
- Volunteering at school events
- Helping maintain discipline
- Coordinating club activities
- Assisting with school programmes
- Encouraging participation among house members
Through these duties, students learn the values of service, accountability, leadership, and teamwork.
